Do You Own Your Calendar?

Thank you so much for spending your time with us! We would be so grateful if you could take a minute and leave us a review.

Do you own your calendar? Or does someone else own it?

What owning your own calendar means is that you’re in control of your time. We’ve been flipping full-time for eight years now, and we are totally in charge of our schedules, which is amazing.

I’ve always been a flipper, but we went full time when my job stopped offering health insurance. At the time, I was flipping and health insurance was the only reason I had kept my regular day job so we made the decision to go into flipping full time. We came to the realization of do we want to take control of our time? With three young children, flipping allowed us to work when we wanted so we could spend time with our kids.

Do You Own Your Calendar?

There Is A Growth Period

It takes time to build your business to the point where you’re able to own your calendar. If you’re new to flipping, you might have to work it around another job. But as you get better at flipping and building processes, you will be able to build your calendar to fit you.

Fast forward into what we’re able to do today. We spend time with our kids, go on field trips with them, and take every birthday off school to have a fun day. For us, managing our calendar and time means being able to work smarter so we have more time to spend with our kids. That’s why we like low volume, high profit flipping.

I could have gone really heavy in volume and sold a lot of items, but that means more work and less control of my calendar. I noticed I can sell one item and make just as much as I can selling a hundred low profit items.

Work Toward Calendar Freedom

If you want to be in control of your calendar, set your business goals. Be consistent and work toward them. Start the foundation today. Set up your eBay account and start listing on Facebook Marketplace. Do whatever you have to do to start getting to that point of time freedom where you run your calendar and you decide what you want to do that day. We love the flexibility of this business. We can work super hard and list stuff one month, knowing it’ll pay off next month.

Do You Own Your Calendar?

Even if you do have a regular job right now, you, and you say you can only commit four hours on a Saturday to the business, that’s great. You can make a big headway in four hours on a Saturday to get going with this business. Find those pockets in your day now and invest them toward building your flipping business so you can take control of your calendar in the future.

Robert Stephenson

I grew up in Central Florida and have lived here my whole life. I first got into buying and selling items when I was 16 years old, and have been hooked ever since. It has mostly been a hobby that makes some extra cash, but sometimes it serves as my main income as well. I don't plan on stopping any time soon. I find too many fun toys for my family (or myself), and just love the whole process.
