It’s not always easy to get your flipping business off the ground, but with some focus and accountability, you will find success like Jacque. Jacque is in our one-on-one coaching program and she recently passed $11,000 in sales over the last four months. 

Jacque’s just about to finish up our coaching program, and will share some insights about what helped her make real progress in her flipping business. 

How Did You Get Started In Your Flipping Business? 

Jacque says she was walking through life asleep and finally woke up and realized she was not headed in the direction she wanted to go. She knew the job she was working wasn’t going to get her to her end goal, so she decided to start a business.

She had been on YouTube and bought coaching after coaching program, but never took it anywhere. Jacque had even purchased our Flipper University course years three years ago but didn’t take action. When she saw we were offering the one-on-one coaching program, she decided to jump in. 

How Did You Pin Down Flipping As Your Business?

Jacque says she’s always loved hunting for bargains. Anytime she can get something inexpensive, she’s all for it. Flipping was a way for her to find different things and recycle.

What Got You Motivated To Grow Your Flipping Business On eBay?

She didn’t really have anything listed on eBay when she started our one-on-one coaching. Jacque says shes’ gone from business idea to business idea. One day she realized she couldn’t continue starting and stopping. The pain of change was less than the pain of staying the same so she decided to do something. She needed the accountability of a group to help her grow her flipping business.

Can You Share A Learning Experience?

One of Jacque’s first big sales was a NordicTrack and it was supposed to make some really good money, but her measurement of the box was way off. When she actually shipped it, it was more expensive than she had thought it would be. She had the choice of saying no, she was taking her money back or she was going through with the sale and learning from it. She decided it wasn’t the customer’s fault so she went through with the sale and used it as a learning experience. Jacque recommends to learn from your mistakes and keep going. 

How Can Somebody Shift Their Mindset? 

The pain of change was less than the pain of staying the same. If you stay doing what you’re doing and don’t see results, it’s painful. Change can be hard, but results will help motivate you to keep going. 

Change can be hard, but what helps is the people you surround yourself with. Jacque enjoys being able to bounce ideas off other people so they can help her when she’s having a down day. Don’t go at it yourself. 

What Has Your Pallet Experience Been Like?

Part of flipping larger items is building pallets to ship those items. Jacque has built four pallets to date. The first one took her six hours and by the third one she was down to between two to four hours. The more she learns and does it, the better she gets.

How Many Larger Sales Have You Had?

Jacque is up to $11,000 in the past four months in her flipping business. She’s sold at least 20 items. Five to seven were smaller items and the rest were larger, higher profit items. 

How Has This Changed Your Job?

Jacque started the flipping business as a side hustle and spent a few hours a day sourcing, listing, and cleaning items. She was going to quit her full-time job in 2024, but she decided to quit in July. Jacque knew no matter how high she climbed the ladder at work that it would not get her where she wanted to go, so she is now diving into flipping full time. 

She said the coaching program gave her a blueprint of what to do every month in order to get to where she wants to go. 

What Words Of Advice Do You Have For Somebody Struggling With Their Flipping Business?

Take it one step at a time. Find one thing that you can do. Focus on that one thing and find out how to make it better. And if you don’t compare yourself with others, things will be much better. Just compare yourself with how you were yesterday. Get yourself a bunch of good friends, stick with it, and you’ll make it.
