10 Fall And Winter Items That Are The Best Items to Resell For Profit

winter

Summer vacations have wrapped up. Can you believe it is already time to talk about Fall/Winter items to source? What are the best Items to resell for profit? We will talk about that in a minute.

We were on the road for 5 weeks this summer. We had an amazing time, and at the end we were ready to get back home and back to our normal life.

Most kids have gone back to school. Our three kids just started back a couple weeks ago. It is the first time that all three are in school full time every day.

Even though it is still pretty warm around the country, fall is coming!

I love the colors of Fall

This is the time to start thinking about fall/winter sourcing.

It is easy to forget to source ahead of time, but if you put it on your calendar or remind yourself to source ahead of time, it can set you up to make some good sales before the Fall/Winter seasons hit.

Put Fall and winter items on your sourcing list now when looking for new items to sell.

What should you look for?

What to look for is the million dollar question. Okay, maybe not a million dollar question, but a question worth good money.

Think about cooler weather, what activities people are doing in cooler weather, needs people have in the cooler weather and holidays that come in the cooler weather.

We have a list of 10 best items to resell for profit in the fall and winter. The first thing I think of when I think of cooler or cold weather are;

1. Jackets, Gloves, Hats, and Boots

Here in Florida, we don’t really need heavy jackets. But, in much of the country the temperatures start really dropping after Labor Day. And, jackets are the norm.

People that live in colder temperatures often look for good, reliable brand jackets that will keep them warm.

When they find a great brand, they often stick with it. And, they will pay good money for that brand.

You can often find those good brands at thrift stores and yard sales. Then, you can wash them and sell them for a fair price. This is a win-win situation.

It doesn’t get this cold in Florida

The buyer is happy, and they have what they want for less money. The seller is happy because they provided a good product to someone that needed it and they made some money at the same time.

Another reason people are looking for good jackets is because of fall/winter activities like skiing, ice skating, etc.

They also are looking for hats, gloves, and boots as well.

Winter activities in cold weather have people looking for things like;

2. Ski Equipment

Buyers are looking to purchase snowboards, ski boots, ski boots, and snow pants. These are some of the best items to resell for profit during the winter months.

Throughout the year, you will often find great ski equipment that people are just looking to unload out of their spare room or garage.

They are willing to get rid of it for cheap because they no longer use it, and they want the space.

3. Ice Skates

Well, not in Florida, but in states like Michigan and Maine some of the lakes freeze over and create great ice skating rinks. There are lots of indoor ones too.

People love to ice skate in the winter

During the winter, people will be looking for deals on ice skates. Actually, year-round, buyers also look for good roller skates.

Holidays

Fall and Winter bring holidays like Halloween, Thanksgiving and Christmas.  The holidays bring some of the best items to resell for profit. Believe me, people love their holiday items like;

4. Halloween Decor

Buyers really love Halloween decorations. Anything from table and window decorations to Halloween blow-ups. People love their black cats, jack o’lanterns, witches, and ghosts

Halloween decor sells great. Sales begin usually about August

5. Costumes

Halloween costumes sell very well on eBay. Starting about August adults and children are looking for just the right costume.

It can be worth hitting the ½ off sales the day after Halloween to scoop up those leftover costumes, and keep them until the next year.

6. Christmas Decorations

Buyers really look to eBay to find good deals on Christmas decorations and lights.

Some people look for unique items you can’t find just anywhere or things they had as children and can’t find in stores.

7. Ornaments

There are many collectible ornaments that buyers are looking for.

Some are sentimental, some may complete a collection, some are gifts and some are special because they are just what someone loves.

ornaments are great sellers in the months before Christmas

From about October through December, many ornaments sell very well.

8. Christmas Gifts

Usually around October, people start to shop for Christmas presents.

They are looking for all kinds of things like electronics, jewelry, toys, bikes, sentimental items, art, crafts, hobby items and more.

9. Snow Blower

Lots of people around the country experience snow in the winter. There are items like snow-blowers that come in handy after snowfall.

10. Exercise Equipment

Once the kids go back to school, I have found that people get back into their routine and start exercising again. They are looking for reasonably price exercise equipment like stationary bikes, treadmills and elipticals.

I have particularly good luck selling commercial exercise equipment. These are machines that are commercial grade and could be in a gym.

Commercial exercise equipment sells for more money, but it also lasts longer and is often higher quality.

Fall and Winter are great times to sell new and used items. Even more people than usual are actively looking for specific items to buy.

Robert Stephenson

I grew up in Central Florida and have lived here my whole life. I first got into buying and selling items when I was 16 years old, and have been hooked ever since. It has mostly been a hobby that makes some extra cash, but sometimes it serves as my main income as well. I don't plan on stopping any time soon. I find too many fun toys for my family (or myself), and just love the whole process.
