What We Flipped In March To Make $9,600

money

Thank you so much for spending your time with us! We would be so grateful if you could take a minute and leave us a review.

Today I’m excited to talk about March’s numbers. They are in and we made almost $10,000 in sales with just four items. It’s all about high profit sales. That’s what we really, really want to jump into is getting to those higher profit sales, so you’re working less and getting more for your effort.

So let’s dive into the eBay fees, the shipping costs, and of course, the profits!

Item #1  –  Vintage Sony

I picked this one up for $20 from an app. This is from the ‘90s. It is one of those stackable tape deck, CD changer, equalizer in a Sony cabinet with matching Sony wood speakers. It’s very, very unique and rare for it to be together in good condition. They even had the original owners manual with it. I cleaned it up and tested it and got it listed. There weren’t any comps for it because of the uniqueness, so I added a lot of money to it.

Sales: $1,000
Fees: $98
Ad fee: $28
Shipping: $163
Cogs: $20
Profit: $691

Item #2  – The Belt

I got this one for free from one of my contacts. Some of these things look expensive to me and I don’t know what they are. So how do I sell them? There was a name on the belt, and it actually had the model number, so I listed it with that information. Somebody who is looking for this exact belt could throw it into Google and eBay might’ve shown it to them, or they could have gone into eBay and looked and typed in the name and the model number.

I think retail on these things was over a thousand dollars. So I figured $400 when the right person saw it, they would jump on it with no questions asked.

Sales: $400
Fees: $54
Shipping: $17
Cogs: $0
Profit: $329

Item #3  –   GE Ultramax Programmable Driver LED

This was a ballast for a led light. My contact got a ton of these pallets full of these boxes and gave me a couple to see what I could do with them. Last month we sold seven and this month it hit again. They bought three of them this time.

Sales: $240
Fees: $30
Shipping: $29
Cogs: $0
Profit: $181

Item #4  –  Square D Panels

I’ve had these for a while. I bought a trailer full of these from a different contact. We sold 10 of these in one shot in March. They’re breaker panels that go up on the side of a triplex or fourplex so they can meter different power sources. I bought 40 and we sold 10 this last month for $699 a piece.

Sales: $7,990
Fees: $279
Shipping: $295
Cogs: $100
Profit: $7,316

Totals

Sales: $9,630
Fees: $489
Shipping: $504
Cogs: $120
Profit: $8,517

Robert Stephenson

I grew up in Central Florida and have lived here my whole life. I first got into buying and selling items when I was 16 years old, and have been hooked ever since. It has mostly been a hobby that makes some extra cash, but sometimes it serves as my main income as well. I don't plan on stopping any time soon. I find too many fun toys for my family (or myself), and just love the whole process.
