It’s time to break down our numbers and share the top 10 flips of 2025. We’ll share what we made and some of the cool items we flipped.
Item #10 – Pole Saw
I bought eight of these for $200 so it was a great deal. I’ve sold them multiple times.
Sold: $864
COGS (cost of goods sold): $0 (estimated at $25, but we’ve already made our money back on this investment)
eBay fees:$120
Shipping fees: $75
Total profit: $669

Item #9 – Timpani Drum
This one was fun. This was a monster big drum we found at the flea market and the kids got to use it before we sold it. Once we got it listed, it sold within two to three weeks. This was a weird one because I shipped it to the wrong address because the buyer listed the wrong address. He ended up having to pay the extra money to have it shipped from the carrier at the wrong address to his address.
Sold: $1,000
COGS: $100
eBay fees: $111
Shipping fees: $276
Total profit: $514

Item #8 – Prosthetic Knee Joint
I bought a package of two or three of these from the flea market. This was shipped in a small box.
Sold: $1,000
COGS: $100
eBay fees: $133
Shipping fees: $36
Total profit: $731

Item #7 – Electrolux
We bought this in a thrift store in Colorado. It was a 36-inch electric cooktop. This also went in a box.
Sold: $1,650
COGS: $25
eBay fees: $227
Shipping fees: $122
Total profit: $1,226

Item #6 – Pizza Dough Press
We picked this up at the flea market. We had to give a partial refund on this one because it was missing a spring and didn’t close all the way. It’s a press with two flat plates. When you pick it up, it’s supposed to stand up with a spring and I didn’t know that. When the buyer messaged me, I told them it wasn’t their fault because they couldn’t tell from the pictures, and we actually paid for and sent them the spring. The refund was to cover paying a technician to install it. I think the $65 was for the spring and the $200 was for the technician. That saved us from having to eat the shipping to accept a refund.
When situations come up, don’t rush to issue the refund. Try to work with your buyers and see if there is something you can do first to fix the situation.
Sold: $1,900
COGS: $45
eBay fees: $223
Shipping fees: $17
Promoted listing fee: $35
Refund: $265
Total profit: $1,315

Item #5 – Absen panel lot
We got these in a lot. It’s the hardware for LED screens. We still have a couple pallets left and we sell 10-12 of them in a listing. These went into a small box when shipped.
Sold: $2,040
COGS: $50
eBay Fees: $218
Shipping Fees: $126
Total Profit: $1,646

Item #4 – Hot Foil Set
This was a fun one. While on vacation with the kids, we found this massive hot foil set at an estate sale. It had a bunch of letters and numbers that can be used for scrapbooking and some stationery items as well. We were thinking the kids would do some sort of business with it, but there was too much to it, so we decided to sell it.
Because it was classified as a printing item, we were also able to ship it via media mail to the buyer in Hawaii.
Sold: $3,500
COGS: $300
eBay Fees: $345
Shipping Fees: $304
Total Profit: $2,551

Item #3 – Wolf Range
This was a fun one. I found it because I was trying to help my buddy find stuff to flip to fund a vacation, and it was about 45 minutes away. I said I would go help him pick it up with my trailer and he said he didn’t have time. So I went with Melissa and picked it up, and we listed it instead. It’s funny because it actually sold while we were camping with my buddy.
Sold: $3,500 + $600 for shipping
COGS: $350
eBay fees: $361
Shipping fees: $382
Total Profit: $3,007

Item #2 – Freeze Blaster
I got this one from a local auction. It was in a commercial kitchen or school. They had to take the door off it to get it out of the room it was previously in. It’s like a big refrigerator that you put stuff in. It drops the temperature from room temperature to negative 20 within minutes. It just had to be put back together with a few screws. This one had to get shipped on a pallet.
Sold: $8,000
COGS: $88
eBay Fees: $455
Shipping Fees: $500
Total Profit: $6,957

Item #1 – Convection Steamer
We found this item while in Boise, Idaho at a Mastermind. I like going to thrift stores while we’re out of town. This was in the back of the store and I couldn’t find a price. It looked brand new. I asked how much and they said $1,500 and I said I’d give them $1,000 cash and they jumped on it since it was dusty and had been sitting there for a while. I took this back to my buddy’s place in Idaho, took pictures, and got it prepped to ship in case it sold. It ended up selling right before we visited Boise again. We also cross posted this one so it sold off of eBay without fees.
Sold: $15,000
COGS: $1,000
Shipping Fees: $615
Supplies: $45 (for box around item for shipping)
Total Profit: $13,340

Total Sales
Sold: $39,053
COGS: $2,083
Total Profit: $32,046
For these ten sales we only had to invest $2,083 to make over $30,000. I probably had 2-3 hours of work into each of these sales to create that net profit.
