Wow! We made it to 100 episodes of The Reseller Hangout Podcast, and we are stoked that we’ve made it this far. The Reseller Hangout Podcast launched last November, and it’s been a fun journey. We are excited to hit this podcast milestone of 100 episodes, so we thought we’d talk about how it’s gone and what we’ve learned along the way.
Before launching the podcast, we’d talked about doing it for years. We thought we didn’t need to add something else to our plate, but we kept returning to it. We were on another interview with someone else, and they recommended we start one, so we eventually decided just to do it.
The podcast has been a very rewarding experience. It’s one of those things that you think will be more work, but for us, it has been fun to interview other resellers, see other people’s businesses, and give tips to help you with your reselling business.
It’s been amazing for us, and we hope you all feel the same way.
What We’ve Learned In 100 Episodes
One thing we’ve learned from interviewing other resellers is how many different ways there are to run a flipping business. There are many ways to set up your business model, and everyone finds what works for them. We’ll be holding our Reseller Summit at the end of October, showcasing various resellers and their businesses so you can learn about the other models.
Another lesson we’ve learned is that you won’t be everyone’s cup of tea. Sometimes people will give negative ratings and say, “You’re too loud” or “You’re too excited.” We had to realize those are hurt people taking time out of their day to leave a negative review to try to hurt someone else. It’s someone unhappy with something in their life, and that’s their way of expressing it.
It’s been one of those things where we realized we couldn’t please everyone. We’re trying to help many people get better at their flipping side hustle and do amazing things. And we can’t let those people who give us negative reviews discourage us from continuing to release episodes. There’s a lot of noise, but at the end of the day, we’ve learned not to focus on that. We try to focus more on the people we’re helping.
We’re determined to continue growing and getting better to help more people. The more you do something, the more you invest in yourself, and the better you will get at the task.
We can attest to this. I am the visionary, and Melissa is the implementation. Before I had her, I tried probably 30 to 40 different professions. I realized I’m a great entrepreneur but terrible at follow-through. We became an unstoppable team when we married because Melissa excels at details.
Goals For The Next 100 Episodes
The podcast has had 92,000 downloads, almost 100,000, which is awesome. We hope to grow that number and continue reaching new listeners. When we started the podcast, we didn’t have goals other than helping people in this business and meeting more resellers.
We didn’t have plans, and we still don’t have plans to get this sponsored, but if the right opportunity came up, we’d consider it. But for right now, we’re loving what we’re doing.
