There is one tool that has helped us make over half a million dollars in our flipping business on eBay over the last 10-15 years. This is a tool you might find useful for your reselling business and the best part is that it probably costs less than one monthly car payment.
I’ve had this tool for over 30 years, and have used it in recent years for my flipping business. What is it? The tool that helps me with flipping is my trailer. My dad paid for my trailer back when I was 16 years old. He got it at a yard sale. It’s a 4×8 trailer and he bought it to help me start a landscaping business. It’s not super big, but I have been able to haul so many items with it.
I’ve had this trailer for almost 30 years, and I have used it in my eBay business. I have multiple trailers at this point, but it’s my favorite one and I use it the most. It’s probably rated for like 1,200-1,500 pounds but it’s been responsible for us making a ton of money.
Recently, I used it to pick up a range which was about an hour away. We got $5,000 from that flip. We also picked up a double oven that should make us a couple thousand dollars. I have been able to throw the trailer on the back of my SUV and go pick up these items.
A lot of our students start without a trailer and that is totally fine. One of our students made $100,000 before she bought a trailer. When you get to a point where you have some extra money to invest into a trailer, consider whether that will level up your business. Keep an eye on yard sales because you never know when you might find one for sale at a good price. You can also rent trailers, so there are ways to do this business if you don’t have a truck or trailer!
