We’ve hit day five of the road trip! We covered some miles as we made our way from Orlando all the way to New Jersey. So far, we’ve been able to stop in D.C. for a day. We just left the Statue of Liberty. We’ve seen a few things along the way on this road trip, but it’s been hot so we’re hoping things cool down soon. We still have plenty of room in the trailer. We’re going to have a lot of fun, and get some more really, really cool stuff.

So far, we have picked up two items from Marketplace and a few items from the thrift store. I was working on negotiating for an oven, but we ended up passing and we’re going to head further north. We still have plenty of room in the trailer.
We found an oven and a heater. Pretty excited about that. We also got a Feather Lite sewing machine and it was right on the counter at the thrift store with a 50% off tag so I only paid $50 and should get $200. Not horrible, but not spectacular. It’s very small, and I might let one of the kids list it.
Brody found a basketball rim that has a TV on the backboard of the hoop. He was excited about that, but I’m not sure he’ll sell it.

We bought the oven for $100, the heater for $100 and the sewing machine for $250. When we sell these items, the oven will be around $3,000, the heater will be $1,200-$1,500, and the sewing machine will be $200. Just under $5,000 profit for $250 spent.
When we get back, we’ll clean up the items and get them listed. The oven will need some elbow grease because it’s been sitting in a garage for a few years, but it’s what we do. We’ll make it look nice and it’ll sell quickly once cleaned and listed.
