What We Flipped to Make Almost $10,000 In One Week

tractor-371250_1920

Last week was a good week to be a flipper! We made almost $10K with only 4 sales!

Items We Sold

The first item was a TV. It was a small Vintage CRT gaming TV that I literally found in the trash and sold it for $160 + shipping.

The second item was our big one, it was a mower.

I originally paid $1,200. I held onto it for a while and it just sold to someone up north for $7,200.

Spring is mowing season and I knew it would sell. We paid $360 for shipping.

We have another mower that I will get listed soon.

The third item was a boat trailer. My sister just sold her boat and we threw the trailer in to the sale. We bought it for $200 and just sold it for $2,500.

We just used it to take the boat to the dealer and we were going to keep it, but for that money we couldn’t turn it down.

The buyer of the boat is having the boat and trailer picked up from here, so it was an awesome deal.

Kid Sale

The fourth item was a kid sale. It was a toy ATM Machine. It was something our daughter picked out at a thrift store. She bought it for $4 and it just sold for $24. That makes for a happy kid.

Our kids are loving making their own money, and our oldest really has an eye for things that will sell.

We are teaching the kids some simple money management. We are using envelopes to split their money into

  1. Save
  2. Spend
  3. Give

The kids love making money, and they love splitting the money into envelopes.

Our Total Profit for the Week Was…..

So, our total sales for the week were $9,874.

Our Cost Of Goods Sold was $1,404

Shipping and fees were $634

Total profit was $7,836

You Can Do It Too

You can do this too! Be patient with yourself, be consistent, and put in the work.

Remember that the deal starts with saving as much money as you can on the front end. The less you pay, the more you can make. Your money is made in the buy, so if your profit isn’t there, it’s ok to walk away. There is always something else waiting.

Everyone’s flipping journey is different, but the best part of flipping is that the potential is endless.

Robert Stephenson

I grew up in Central Florida and have lived here my whole life. I first got into buying and selling items when I was 16 years old, and have been hooked ever since. It has mostly been a hobby that makes some extra cash, but sometimes it serves as my main income as well. I don't plan on stopping any time soon. I find too many fun toys for my family (or myself), and just love the whole process.
